Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026 Setup Begins: 9 AM Parade Start Time: 10 AM Parade End Time: 12 PM
Parade Staging Area: Oak Street and Sabattus Street in Lewiston
Parade Start Location: Main Street and Sabattus St. in Lewiston
Parade Route:
1. Start on Main Street at Sabattus Street.
2. Head down to Lincoln Street.
3. At Lincoln Street, turn right.
4. End at Chestnut Street.
Distance: Less than a mile walking; mostly flat, clear road; the Lewiston Police Department will close traffic from the start of the parade to Longley Bridge to Lincoln Street to Chestnut Street.
Liability Notice
The City of Lewiston and the Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival are not liable for any accident or injury that may occur during the parade.
Candy and Giveaways
Items may not be thrown from vehicles. They must be handed to parade attendees.
Parade walkers may distribute items by hand.
Fundraising
Fundraising of any kind is not permitted during the parade.
